It's true! Our precious baby girl is a month old today! I can barely remember my life before we had her, but at the same time, I can't believe she's already a month old! Here's an update on Evelyn.
- She maintains eye contact and does "real" smiles now, not just her "sleepy smiles".
- She still loves her hands near her face. She used to love being swaddled, but now she fights it to have her hands out by her face.
- She still wears newborn clothes. 0-3 months is a little big.
- She eats about 3-4 ounces at a time.
- She loves bath time. She has a pink tub that we use with a netting over the water in the tub and she loves to put her feet over the netting into the water. She hasn't cried yet while she's had a bath.
Last night was one of the hardest we've had with her yet. We've kinda boasted that she doesn't really cry, but last night changed that. She cried on and off for about 3 hours. Eventually she wore herself out and went to sleep. Andy was really great and stayed up with me, even though he had class today. We finally got to bed around 3am. Luckily our baby slept til 8am and then after eating and getting her diaper changed, she went back to sleep so we could sleep too. We sure do love Evelyn and even though it was hard last night, I wouldn't change it for anything.
