Impromptu Yellowstone trip

On Monday morning, Andy told me he had a surprise and to pack for an overnight trip. Eventually I got him to tell me where we were going, since I had to know what to pack, and he told me Yellowstone! Yellowstone is one of my favorite places ever and since Andy hadn't gone before, I really wanted to go with him. We got there at about 4 that day, after 5 hours in the car. Both Evelyn and Clark did great! We went straight to Old Faithful and saw that go off and then walked around and saw the other geysers, lodges, and visitor's center. We stayed the night in a cabin there and left the next morning to see the mud pots. Then we drove "the loop" and left to go home. We got home around 6 and after about 9 hours in the car, I was about at my breaking point since Evelyn had been whining for most of the car ride and Clark crying for the last hour. We are done with road trips for a while, but we had a lot of fun being together as a family. Here are the pics to prove it.

We love Summer!

Wanna know what we've been up to lately?

We went to the zoo. 6-3-2013

We went to a brand new splash pad and Evelyn loved it! She loved it so much she cried when I made her get out of the water because she was so cold she was shaking and she was blue.
Got into some messes...

and had a photo shoot

Andy's Graduation May 2012

Even though this was a year ago, it totally deserves a blog post. And I was going through our camera pics and realized I haven't shared these. Oops. This day was in my top 5 favorite days of my life-I was so proud of Andy!

Swim Diapers

Today we went to a brand new splash pad in North Logan. Evelyn loved it! She would get so excited when the water would spray on her. However, this is not a story about the splash pad. This is a story about what happened after. When we got home I had to feed Clark right away because he was very unhappy and meanwhile Evelyn was eating some ice cream. I could tell something was wrong so I looked at Evelyn who had a very confused look on her face and then I noticed the pee dripping down her legs into a puddle on the floor. She was wearing a swim diaper and had only been wearing it less than an hour. To all you experienced moms out there, aren't swim diapers supposed to prevent that? Since I was still feeding Clark I couldn't help her right away and she slipped twice in her pee and each time fell to the floor. Poor girl. After the second fall,   Clark was finally appeased and I gave Evelyn a bath. What do you do to/have done for diapers while swimming? Apparently I need help.
