We've got a mover!

The baby's moving! It's been about 2 weeks since I first felt the baby move and I love it! It's such a surreal thing to feel something inside of you moving. About a week ago, Andy felt the baby for the first time. I think he thinks it's weird, but really, it's his first connection with the baby. I mostly feel the baby when I'm lying down. 11:30 pm is when I feel the baby the most.
We went to see our doctor today and everything is still good and healthy. I'll start my 24th week tomorrow and I'm in my 6th month. It's gone by so fast! Our doctor asked us to start looking for pediatricians and to start the birthing classes. I just cannot believe it's getting closer to be thinking about that. I'm still not showing that much...I've been told that since I have a long torso, I'll probably not show all that much. However, my jeans and some shirts don't fit anymore, so I now wear maternity pants. They are SO much more comfortable than my regular jeans! At the doctor's I found out I gained 9 pounds this month. Holy crap! I still throw up about 3 times a week so I can't believe I gained that much weight!
In other news, Andy finished his spring semester with all A's! Way to go! He works really hard and I'm proud of him. We have some big things coming up...we are moving June 6th to a house a couple of blocks away. We're super excited to have a house to ourselves and to have a yard. It's a little stressful though, because we're going on vacation to Fish Lake with friends the week before we move. We didn't plan it that way...that's just how it is. I'm trying really hard to have our apartment packed and cleaned before we move. Luckily, we have a garage where we can store the boxes and furniture.
I just feel really blessed right now. I'm so lucky to have a wonderful husband who works so hard and tries his best to do the right thing. I'm so thankful our baby is healthy. I'm so thankful I'm healthy so I can have a baby. I'm so blessed to be a member of a church that believes in eternal families. I'm so thankful I was married in the temple and that I know that I am a daughter of God. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is probably one of the most important aspects of my life. It shapes everything I do. I'm so thankful for a living prophet and for inspired leaders who teach with faith and love. I don't really know why I felt the need to share all that, but I just feel so blessed right now. I hope you have a wonderful day!

  2. I'm glad that you shared your thoughts and feelings Kim! It helps me to feel more connected to you! I am so blessed to have some of the most amazing and wonderful daughter-in -laws in the whole world. I too am blessed by the Gospel as taught by the Church. It is hard to let go of your children when they are ready to leave the nest and venture out into the world on their own. I've always been afraid that something would happen to them and that I would not be able to be there for them. The fact is that things do happen but it helps to know that I can pray and ask Heavenly Father to help comfort them through their trials. It is also a BIG blessing to know that this life is not the end and that should something dreadful happen, we will see each other again in the eternities. That is a HUGE blessing!!
I am grateful that things are going better for you and the baby. It would be nice not to be sick but it will be over one day and you will have a special little life to show for it. I know that you will feel that it was worth it!

I love you all a lot!

Good luck with the packing, moving and camping trip! Take it easy.

We like our pediatrician. He's one at the hospital. His name is Dr. Brown.
